On a family trip, your camera roll usually fills up with the kids pretty quickly. Then you get home and realize there are hardly any photos of just the two of you.

So during a family photoshoot, take a few minutes for that too.

For this London session, Big Ben was already right there, so they stepped aside for a couple of portraits before bringing the kids back in.

It’s such a small part of the session, but it means Mum and Dad get to be in the memories too.

A romantic day in Oia, from morning to after sunset 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨✨⤵️

📍 Start around the blue domes before Oia gets busy — Walk the lanes around Agios Spyridonas and Anastasis Church while they’re still relatively quiet. This is the time to wander without feeling like you’re squeezing past everyone.

📍 Make the walk down to Ammoudi Bay — The harbour feels completely different from Oia above. Have a long seafood lunch by the water and give yourself enough time so the climb back up doesn’t feel rushed.

📍 Stop somewhere with a caldera view and stay awhile — Order wine, coffee, or dessert and actually sit with the view instead of moving straight on to the next spot.

📍 Choose your sunset plan before the evening — The Byzantine Castle area gives you the famous Oia sunset view, but it gets busy. Get there earlier if that’s the one you want.

📍 Don’t leave as soon as the sun disappears — Wait for the day-trippers to start heading out, then take one more walk through the lit-up lanes before dinner.

That’s probably our favorite way to do Oia: fewer stops, more time at each one.

And it’s not just the staircase. There are tiled walls, little corners, and different patterns everywhere you look, so the photos can still feel varied even when you stay in the same area.

That works especially well for a 30-minute family photoshoot when you have younger kids and don’t want to spend half the session walking from place to place.

3 Cape Cod beaches — and which one might fit you best 😎✨⤵️

🌴 Coast Guard Beach, Eastham: Pick this if you want the more dramatic Outer Cape feel — dunes, bigger Atlantic waves, and a wilder stretch of coastline.

🌴 Mayflower Beach, Dennis: Best if you want calmer water and lots of space. At low tide, the sand flats stretch out really far, which makes it especially nice for families with younger kids.

🌴 Herring Cove Beach, Provincetown: Go here if sunset is part of the plan. The water is usually gentler than the Atlantic-facing beaches, and it’s an easy one to stay at into the evening.

One day in Bologna? Here’s an easy route to follow 🇮🇹✨⤵️

📍 8:30 AM — Caffè Terzi: Start with coffee, then walk toward Piazza Maggiore.

📍 9:30 AM — Piazza Maggiore + Archiginnasio: Have a look around the square, then pop into the Archiginnasio. The old university courtyard is worth the short detour.

📍 11:00 AM — Quadrilatero: This is where we’d slow down a bit. Wander the market streets, look at all the fresh pasta and cheese, and stop if something catches your eye.

📍 12:30 PM — Sfoglia Rina: Fresh pasta for lunch. Tagliatelle, tortellini… this is probably not the day to order a salad.

📍 2:00 PM — Piazza Santo Stefano + Two Towers: Walk through Santo Stefano, then make your way toward the towers under the porticoes.

📍 3:30 PM — Cremeria Cavour: Time for gelato.

📍 5:00 PM — Via Piella + Mercato delle Erbe: See the little canal at Via Piella, then head toward Mercato delle Erbe for aperitivo.

📍 7:30 PM — Trattoria da Me: Finish with dinner and leave the rest of the evening open for one more wander through the centre.

Most of this stays fairly close together, so you can see a lot without spending the whole day rushing from one side of Bologna to the other.
