How to become a travel photographer?
To get started, fill out this short application form with your email and portfolio. We welcome applications from all over the world. We also add new cities every month, so even if we haven’t launched in your city yet, we may soon!
How to get photography clients?
We make getting freelance photography jobs way easier! Clients will see your portfolio listed under your city on Local Lens, and if they like your portfolio they will send you a request for their dates along with any initial questions they may have. After sending them your availability, the customer will be able to submit payment and reserve their dates with you.
How does Local Lens market your photography?
You will have your own personal profile page with a short bio, portfolio, and past reviews from Local Lens customers. Make sure to keep your portfolio up-to-date with images that showcase your style!
What are the requirements to join?
- At least 2 years of professional experience in lifestyle or portrait photography; e.g. weddings, family portraits, etc.
- A great photography portfolio to showcase your style and skill.
- Must be proficient enough in English to read, write and converse comfortably.
Who owns the photos?
Image ownership belongs 100% to the photographer, and the customer is granted a license for personal use only. In other words, they are allowed to use the photos for display on personal websites, for sharing on social media, or to make prints for personal use. The images may not be used in any way to charge money, collect fees, or receive any form of remuneration. The photographer grants Local Lens a commercial license, which allows us to help market photographers’ services. For more details, check out our Terms and Conditions.
