White Beach, Boracay: A Visitor’s Guide

Four kilometers of powder-white sand facing straight into the sunset — White Beach is the heart of Boracay. Here’s how to visit and photograph it.

Know the stations

White Beach is split into three “Stations.”

Station 1 (north) has the finest sand, the widest beach, and quieter, upscale resorts — the prettiest for photos.

Station 2 is the lively central hub (D’Mall, nightlife).

Station 3 (south) is more low-key and budget-friendly. For clean, uncrowded frames, base yourself around Station 1.

Get the paraw shot

The iconic Boracay image is a paraw — a traditional double-outrigger sailboat with a bright sail — gliding across the water at sunset. You can shoot them from the sand, or book a sunset sail and shoot from the water as the sky ignites. Either way, golden hour into sunset is the moment.

💡 Local tip: Walk up to Station 1 and Willy’s Rock for sunset — fewer people than Station 2, the best sand, and the shrine-topped rock as a foreground. Arrive an hour early to claim your spot.

Make it a story

Powder sand, turquoise water, and a paraw at sunset make a dream tropical backdrop — a Boracay proposal favorite.
