Pick your region, then your season
December to March is prime for the classics — Sigiriya, Kandy, Ella, and the west/south coast — with the clearest skies.
April to September flips to the east and north coasts (Trincomalee, Arugam Bay), which are dry and calm while the rest of the island sees rain.
The hill country around Ella is best January–May: sunny, cool, and ideal for the tea estates and the Nine Arch Bridge.
