Pick your season

Spring (September–November) is the highlight — comfortable weather and the city’s famous jacaranda trees blooming purple (peaking in November) along the avenues and in Palermo’s parks. Autumn (March–May) is a close second: mild, golden, and comfortable.

Summer (December–February) is hot and humid, though many locals leave, so the city feels quieter.

Winter (June–August) is mild by global standards, grey but atmospheric, and cheaper.

Golden hour in the grand city

💡 Local tip: Buenos Aires’ European-style architecture — Recoleta, the Casa Rosada, the grand avenues — glows in golden-hour light. In November, plan around the jacarandas: Plaza San Martín, Avenida 9 de Julio, and the Palermo parks turn purple, an unmissable seasonal frame. Planning a proposal in the city?
