The spots
1. “What Lifts You” wings, the Gulch
Best light: early morning · Terrain: flat sidewalk Kelsey Montague’s angel-wings mural — Nashville’s most popular photo op. Go early: softer light and no line (there’s a smaller set of wings beside it for kids and pets).
2. Lower Broadway
Best light: night / blue hour · Terrain: flat, busy Honky-Tonk Highway — a wall of vintage neon. It photographs best after dark, when the signs glow at full strength.
3. John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge
Best light: golden hour → dusk · Terrain: long flat bridge The skyline shot, with the “Batman Building” (AT&T tower) and the Cumberland River. Dramatically lit at night; also great from Cumberland Park below.
4. Centennial Park — the Parthenon
Best light: just after dusk · Terrain: flat park A full-scale replica of the Athens Parthenon. The exterior is free, and the accent lights make it glow right after sunset.

Best light: golden hour · Terrain: gardens + walkable streets Cheekwood’s estate gardens (spring and fall are peak) and the 12South murals (“I Believe in Nashville,” Draper James) for colour and charm.
💡 Local tip: Split Nashville into two sessions — daytime for the murals, Parthenon, and gardens; after dark for Broadway’s neon and the lit bridge. One golden-hour-into-blue-hour block on the bridge bridges the two.
