Dress the Part
Are you going for a casual beach vibe or total city glam? No matter your preference, be sure to be prepared and dress for the environment you’ll be in. Autumn in Manhattan? Great! Be sure to wear layers that will add interest to your photos. Doing a couples photoshoot? The key here is to complement each other rather than match. Bright pops of color are always a great idea as well. From engagement photos to maternity photos and everything in between, always dress in something that will make you feel and look fantastic!
Don’t Force It
No matter the occasion, we want you to have fun during your photoshoot. Forget the awkward poses that your mom insisted on during family photo shoots back in the day– we want to capture all of your silly, genuine, romantic, candid moments! Try and forget the camera is even there; the sooner you do, the better your photos will turn out.

This goes along the lines of our last point. Don’t think you have to act a certain way in front of your photographer. Feel like grabbing an ice cream cone? Do it! Fancy a ride on the trolley? Hop on! We’ll be there every step of the way, as long as you’d like us to be!
Props to Props
Again, your photoshoot can go any which way you’d like it to. However, if you’re particularly nervous or shy about having your photos taken, props can be a great way to distract you! From holding balloons, flowers, and chalkboard signs to playfully throwing glitter in the air, there are so many fun opportunities to be had here. On another note, be sure to leave anything at home that you don’t want photographed– sometimes less is more!
With the above tips, you’ll surely make the most of your vacation photoshoot! Looking for a bit more inspiration or have questions about your shoot? Contact us today! We look forward to working with you and your loved ones.
