Pick your season

Spring brings the High Park cherry blossoms (late April–early May) and fresh, soft light — one of the prettiest windows of the year.

Summer is peak: warm, long daylight, and the Islands and waterfront at their best. It’s lively and busy in the best way.

Autumn turns Casa Loma’s grounds and the ravines gold, with crisp, clear light and thinner crowds.

Winter is cold but photogenic — snow-dusted Distillery District lanes and skyline shots over an icy lakeshore.

Golden hour and the water

💡 Local tip: The skyline sits south of downtown across the water, so the classic shots are all about evening light. Riverdale and Polson Pier glow at sunset; the Islands are best in the soft hour just before. Winter shooters: Riverdale Park gets brutally windy — dress far warmer than you think.
